Edinburgh Schools

Some were formerly Hospitals

NOTE:  Several of Edinburgh's schools were established as hospitals to look after both the health and education of their pupils  -  e.g. Heriot's and Gillespie' hospitals.

Some continued to keep their 'Hospital' names until fairly recent times.
