This book has an attractive cover by Jessie M King, dated 1899 (which I hope to add to the web site at some stage, if I can get copyright permission to add it.)

Jessie M King (1875-1949) was one of the central figures in the Glasgow School of Art , Craft & Design Movement.

Old Edinburgh  -  Views from Above

Fifty oblique aerial views of Edinburgh, photographed in August 1930, probably for Edinburgh Corporation.

These are taken from a collection of glass slides found in Lothian Regional Councils offices in 1987.  This is a useful 'snapshot' showing the use of various sites in Edinburgh about 70 years ago.
