St Giles Church & The Lawnmarket

The stalls in the Lawnmarket can be seen in the foreground.  The Lawnmarket is part of the Royal Mile leading from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace.

Several experiments have been made in recent years to return this street to pedestrians, particularly during the Edinburgh Festival in  August / September

St Giles church is in the centre of the picture.  The Tron church is behind.   County Hall is on the right of the picture in the foreground.
