In addition to reporting the EPS Meeting on 17 August 1863, BJP reported the Presentation of an Album and a letter from Alfred Hall, presenting 6 dozen Rejlander photographs to EPS – a set of small copies of some of his larger group studies.

Wall confirmed that he had asked Rejlander to present a short paper on the subject of Artistic Photography.

“ I hope he will do so”.

Wall’s letter ended:

"PS  Hurrah for the North and the South!  
 The art-societies of photography"
