Autochrome Slide

Below is the central part (2.5 ins x 3.5 ins) of an autochrome slide measuring about 3.5 ins x 4.5 ins.  Most of the border of the slide was almost black. 

This is, perhaps, not the best slide to illustrate the autochrome process, being predominantly pink, but it is currently [2003] my only autochrome slide
