Royal Botanic Garden

This map shows the Royal Botanic garden at Inverleith in 1870, before the garden was extended to the west to include the grounds of Inverleith House which were later converted to become an arboretum.

This engraving is one of the illustrations in the book, 'The Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, 1690-1990' (Publ. HMSO) . The numbers on this map are referred to in one of the chapters in this book.
