I was born in 144 Dumbiedykes Road, Edinburgh
One of the stories from Emmaline Aris interested me as she was married to my cousin Tommy. We were relocated to Moredun in 1948.

Hi Peter, have just re-discovered your author of www.cartedevisite.co.uk to me from 24th Sept 2007 (!) about an entry in the guest book from Winston MacLucas of West Virginia on 21st Sept 2007 who was wanting to get in touch with me but had not left an  address. You were going to post a message asking him for his  address. For some reason I feel bad that I have never answered him. Did you ever get an  address from him ? (I know I am not meant to have posted a message!) Hoping that you are still working with the EPS. Been talking with siblings and cousins and we were wondering how to make available to you others of granddad's (A. H. MacLucas) photos that we have between us. Hope you are keeping well. Best wishes, Penny MacLucas.

FORMERLY FROM LONGSTONE. NOW LIVING IN MINNESOTA USA. My Auntie Betty and Uncle Duncan MacMillan lived at Wester Drylaw. Auntie Betty was always knitting or baking and uncle Duncan sat quietly listening to the radio. I can't remember the name of the boy who lived next door to them...David something. He was an only child. Good luck with your search Michael. regards, Liz Thies

Peter Stubbs-I am a contemporary of Robert Laird and would like to get in touch with him. My  address is as above (it's my wife's as I'm not very good with computers). I tried to contact him through the Longstone Community Council site but drew a blank. They suggested I try through you. My phone number is 447 8840-I don't have a mobile. Thank you

The Royal Scots are known as Pontius Pilate's bodyguard, and First of Foot, Right of Line as they are the oldest Regiment of Foot in the British Army. There is no regiment known as the Royal Scots Guards.

Hi Terry: Thanks for pointing out my error in referring to the 'Royal Scots Guards' when I added the photo of four soldiers in uniform taken at Jerome's studio to the web site yesterday. I've now corrected that on the web site page(by removing the word 'Royal')

My great, great grandfather (John Munro) was born in Granton, Scotland in 1824 and died in Salem, Ontario (Wellington County) in 1917. His wife, Margaret Calder was also born in Scotland and died in 1890. She came to Ontario in 1856 or 1857. Does anybody know Munro family members that are related to my Great, Great Grandfather?
