Apologies

Sorry about falling behind a bit in updating the web site and answering some of your emails over the past few days.  I've had to turn my attention to finding out what has been happening on Facebook.

Somebody took lots of images from EdinPhoto web site and other sites and put them all on a new Facebook page titled 'Lost Edinburgh'.

I support the idea of sharing photos and recollections  -  but not when it is done without first seeking permission, and certainly not if it involvers putting photos on Facebook, as Facebook claims copyright over all images on their site !

The situation has now been resolved.  The facebook page has been removed 'for copyright reasons' and I have received apologies from those who set up the Facebook page.  The 'Lost Edinburgh' page may reappear on Facebook at some stage, but without any Edinphoto images on it.
