I don't recognise the house in this photo, but it looks like  large house, probably somewhere in the Scottish Highlands.  It loos as if it might be quite recognisable to anybody who is familiar with it, so perhaps somebody might be able to tell us where it is.

Which Web Site

I followed up the lead given by Winnie above.  I discovered that the photo on Google images was taken from The History of Photography web site on Flickr, where it is described as:

'Horatio Ross - Country House, ca.1860'

This Flickr page includes a brief note about the life of Horatio Ross, but makes no mention of the location of the house, so I assume that the location is not known to the person who added the photo to this page.
