Lauriston Place

Fire Station Museum

The old stables were situated at the back of Lauriston Place Fire station, opening onto a yard behind the station.

One of the stables has been reconstructed here (on the left) and the scene has been cleverly extended to create the impression of more stalls, by a painting on the wall (on the right.)
