Ten Men |
Who? When? Where?
Do you recognise where this photograph of ten well-dressed men with
waistcoats and pocket watches might have been taken?
If you can suggest who they are, or when and where the photo might
have been taken, please email me.
Thank you.

"I wonder if these men were all members of
the Independent Order of Rechabites. I know that a lot of my
family were.
The society was based in Albany Street in
Edinburgh, but has now moved down south.
I also noticed that three of the men have a
what appear to be similar fobs on their watch chains. Maybe these
were tokens that they had received or, there again, it could just be
coincidence."

eight men, dressed very similar to my photo of ten men:

They seem to have been in the Temperence
Movement, which I find interesting
as I know our family were in the Independent Order of Rechabites which is
a branch of that movement."
