The Royal High School

Recollections

Thank you to Phil Wilson for the recollections below:

Ronnie Corbett

"Ronnie Corbett was a former pupil at the Royal High School.   He visited the school in about 1967-8.

He arrived in his grey Bentley, had a talk with the Rector, Baillie T. Ruthven (who I believe was later Controller of BBC Radio Scotland), came down into the main Assembly Hall, and sat in amongst our class to have his photo taken.

He was famous even then, before the 'Two Ronnies', I think because he was on the 'Frost Report', which I can still remember.  I'd dearly like to have a look at the photo, which I never did get to see."

Who has the photo?

Does anybody have a copy of the photograph of Ronnie Corbett sitting amongst the pupils in the Assembly Hall?  It would be good to find a copy of the photo to pass on to Phil Wilson.
