George Hall "This photograph is by George Hall. At the City of Edinburgh Museums, we have a number of George Hall photos in the Newhaven photo archive. They are from a collection of over 100 glass plate negatives and transparencies taken by him, and donated to the City Art Centre in 1990. Many of the plates are of unidentified landscapes but some can be firmly associated with Newhaven. We have very little information about George Hall but we do know that he was an enthusiastic photographer and walker who had strong connections with Badenoch in Inverness-shire, and that he had been president of the Edinburgh-Badenoch Association.
