Thomas Russell's advertisement above appeared in several of the monthly editions of Transactions of the Edinburgh Photographic Society in 1893.

In 1894, he advertised again:

All Cyclists and Cyclo-Photographers
should make a point of calling and inspecting
 the famous
OVERTONE and SUNBEAM cycles

LARGE STOCK OF
LAMPS, BELLS, OILERS, WRENCHES, CAMERA CARRIERS, ...

By 1896, Thomas Russell appeared to be concentrating more on the photographic side of their business, describing themselves in the second advert above as:

Wholesale Ironmongers and Dealers in Photographic Materials.
