1. William Ross d

many years servant of Horatio Ross of Netherley who erected this stone
2. Alex Ross, many yrs gamekeeper of
Horatio Ross of Netherley
d Strathrusdale 29 12 1851, 47, father William,
erected by Brother George
(Alex and William were probably brothers.)
3. Old servant David
Dear d Gledfield 1855, 82 yr
served family upwards 60 years,
erected by Horatio Ross of Netherley,
DD
( David Dear was born in Montrose and was on the 1851 census with Horatio)"
