William Wright
was a native of Edinburgh. He had a grocery business at Strathmilgo,
then came to Fife in December 1876, succeeding the late James Brown's
grocery at 30 Shore Street, Anstruther, Fife.
In 1881, he
abandoned the grocery business in favour of photography, and over the next
eight years built up a large business at 30 Shore Street. He died,
aged 45, on 23 June 1889.
