"I saw your photo off the remains of the wall close to where Granton castle used to stand.

If I recall, when I was a teenager I am almost certain that there was a tunnel passageway that we went into near the dirt road, at the east end of the road facing south."

Tunnel

"I remember a small group of us went into it to find out where it would go.  We eventually came across an old type of solid wooden door  -  the type that would have built around the 16th century.

Of course we tried to open it, shoulder it,  but to avail."

Question

"Do this know anything about this?"

If you know anything about the tunnel that Andy mentions above, please e-mail me and I'll pass on your message to him.

Thank you.  - Peter Stubbs:  August 28, 2007
