Early photographic
processes brought dangers, as photographers heated mercury and mixed their
chemicals.
Even as late as 1892, the
dark-room was far from being a safe environment.
The chart below is
reproduced gives advice. It was issued in the 1 July 1892 edition of
The Practical Photographer, which suggested that it should be
pasted onto a piece of cardboard and hung in the dark-room. |
