The Practical Photographer - 1895
The illustration above, showing the
Sanderson Swing Front camera in two different positions, appeared in the journal: 'The Practical
Photographer', May 1895. The journal commented:
"This is a new principle applied to
normal bellows cameras, and it admits of extending the camera to its full
length by a very simple motion. It also enables the front to be
moved up and down to almost any position."
All this can be accomplished with the
head under the focusing cloth without the necessity of walking round to
the front of the camera. The illustrations explain its action.
The focussing rack is dispensed with altogether."
