SNPC Booklet SNPC has published a booklet titled Photography in Scotland. A copy can be found on the SNPC web site. The booklet is illustrated with photographs by - David Octavius Hill & Robert Adamson, George Washington Wilson, William Carrick, Alfred G Buckham, J Craig Annan, Joseph McKenzie, Calum Colvin, Albert Watson, Grace Robertson, Owen Logan, Stewart Attwood and Catriona Grant, Albert Watson and Ian Rutherford. Below are three of the photographs from the booklet, spanning a period of almost 150 years. |

May 1, 2012 Alfred G Buckham Photos to be Auctioned
I visited Lyon & Turnbull's saleroom in Edinburgh
today to view the items to be sold at tomorrow's auction. Amongst
them, I found two photos by Captain Alfred Buckham, Lots 132 and 133,
titled respectively:
- 'Aerial View of Edinburgh' (the photo above with
biplane in the sky)
- 'Aerial View of the Forth Bridge' (a similar photo with
biplane in sky)
Both the above are silver gelatin prints, 45.5cm x 37cm, with the title
and pencil signature by Alfred Buckham on the mount, framed and glazed.
Each has an estimated auction value of £1,200 to £1,800
