Martin Parr is one of Britain's best-known photographers and member of the Magnum agency. 

Many of his books such as The Last Resort and Think of England are renowned as classics of the genre. 

He will be speaking briefly about the recently published The Photobook: a history (Phaidon), co-authored with Gerry Badger. 

He will be able to sign copies of this and other titles. (Anyone wishing to ensure they get a signed copy of a particular title should contact Beyond Words at least two weeks in advance of the event.)

Please note that this event runs from 6 to 7 p.m. only. 

Martin Parr will also be speaking at 12.45 the same day at the Hawthornden Lecture Theatre, Weston Link, National Gallery of Scotland, The Mound. 

He will explain how his work has developed over his 35 year career.  Please note, however, that there will be no book-signing at the lunchtime event.
