Water of Leith

Balerno to Leith

There is now a Walter of Leith Walkway beside the river almost all the way along its 12 mile route from Balerno at the foot of the Pentland Hills to Leith.  This line on the ground across the cobble stones at The Shore, Leith represents the course of this section of the Water of Leith

The Shore is the road that runs along the east bank of the Water of Leith:

-  from the bridge at Sandport Place (foreground of this photo)

-  to the entrance to Leith Docks (top-left corner of this photo).
