Part of the McDonald Road fire station can be seen on the right of the large picture above. On the left of this picture are the buildings used for fire training: - 'The Ship' - a metal construction. Fires were lit inside it. 'The Ship' is blue and orange in the large picture above but black and red in the small image below taken in the 1990s. - A brick tower - This was used for training with ladders and the large turntable ladder mounted on a fire engine.
