These telephone boxes are in the High Street (part of Edinburgh's Royal Mile), between the Tron kirk and St Giles' church. This view looks to the NW across the High Street. Buildings in the background are: - LEFT: Arches at the entrance to Edinburgh City Chambers. - RIGHT: 'The Filling Station' restaurant. This photo was taken on at 3pm on a wet November afternoon as the daylight was beginning to fade. The High Street, here, is somewhat quieter than it would have been about three months earlier, at the start of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. |
