The photograph above looks to the east through the Stevenson & Cheyne engineering works beside the Water of Leith at Bonnington.

Here is the original photo that I took.

The scene looked very green because of the old fluorescent lighting used to illuminate much of the works.  Adding a filter to remove the green cast was not very successful as it introduced an 'artificial' tints to areas that were lit by daylight.

Sepia Picture

So I converted the image to sepia, which I thought seemed appropriate for an image that looks as if it might have been taken in the early 1900s.  It was, in fact, taken in 1992.

However, in the sepia image above, it was not obvious that the brazier was lit, so I made the image at the top of this page, which is mainly sepia but retains some of the original colour:
