Photograph and Key

This Convention in Derby was the 1st Photographic Convention of the UK.

The upper photograph was published as a supplement to the British Journal of Photography (BJP) on 10 September 1886.

The lower photograph and key were published in the BJP on 3 June 1904.  Unfortunately, both the picture and its key were reversed in the 1904 publication.

J Traill Taylor was one of the founding members of Edinburgh Photographic Society in 1861.  He was Secretary of EPS until 1863.
