Broughton Place Church Scout Troop "Above is a copy of a photo that I was commissioned to take of Broughton Place Church Scout Troop in around 1961." *** (Please also see below) The Scoutmaster "The Scoutmaster in the photo at the top of this page also appears in this group outing photo taken about five years earlier. In this group outing photo, he is in the centre of the front row. The name Bill Aitken rings a bell, but a distant and faint one, I'm afraid." Date of the Photo Update 1 *** There seems to be some confusion as to the date of this photo: - Allan Dodds (above) believes that he took the photo around 1961 - but Edward Dodd (below) believes that it was taken around 1945-46. Peter Stubbs, Edinburgh: 22 Jun 2017. |

Broughton Place Church Scout Troop 1945-46
Thank you to Edward Dodd for providing the names below. Edward added: "It's been years since I last saw this photo. It was taken prior to the Troop going to Austria in 1945-46. I will let some of those in the picture know about your site and they might be able to fill in the question marks. Unfortunately, Bill and Ronnie are now dead. The rest of the Scouts are scattered all over Britain, but the majority in this picture get together once a year, in Edinburgh." Edward Dodd: 22 January 2013 |
