Liberton is now one of Edinburgh's suburbs. It lies about 4 miles to the south of Princes Street. Now one of the main roads to the south from Edinburgh passes through Liberton. The scene in this engraving, with its hay stacks, cartload of hay and the plough in the field looks very different. |
