"Here are two pics of Lunn's removal vans .

John H Lunn became part of the Bishop's Move group around the late-1930's.

My uncle Alex Blackwood was the managing director and my father, Lawrence Blackwood, was an estimator for the firm."

Questions

"1. Does anyone recognise any of the people in these two photos of Lunn's removal vans?

2.  What make are the vehicles are in these two photos?"

Bedfords

The badges on the radiators of the two vehicles in the second photo show that they are Bedford vans.  I don't know the years or the models, but no doubt somebody else will be able to come up with more information about them.

1930s Photo

"One of the men in this 1930s photo is James Cox, my grand-father.  He is the man on the left with sleeves rolled up."

Advertising Pamphlet

"These two photos come from an old advertising pamphlet for Lunn's Removals.

This pamphlet was printed and produced by John Swain 89-92 Shoe Lane, London EC4.  Looking at the backgrounds and the sketches in it, I would say that it was probably produced in the 1930s."
