Tram Route

There have been delays and over-budget spending in creating the Edinburgh tram-line.  The City of Edinburgh Council considered the options available to it, and in September 2011 gave the 'go ahead' for the work to continue, but only for the line between Edinburgh Airport and St Andrew Square.

However, official posters, including the first of the posters above, photographed in October 2011, still show the line going all the way from Edinburgh Airport to Newhaven.

Disruptions

There have been major road closures and diversions for the building of the tram line.  Some of the businesses along the line have expressed their dissatisfaction, creatively in the case Stuart Wardell and Grant McKeeman of Copymade Ltd, Haymarket.

Above are some tram posters that have been displayed in their shop window at 3+3a West Maitland Street, Haymarket.  Thank you to Stuart and Grant for allowing me to reproduce these posters.
