-  The large white house is in Inverleith Terrace, and the trees behind it are in the Botanic Garden at Inverleith.  The white building with the arched windows, near the top-right of the photo, the hothouse in the Botanic Garden.

-  The district at the top-right of the photo is Goldenacre, about two miles to the north of Princes Street.
