Christie Miller Mausoleum

The Mausoleum

The Christie Miller Mausoleum is a huge tomb that dwarfs the surrounding houses in Craigentinny Crescent, to the north of the Edinburgh-Portobello road between Piershill and Portobello.

The monument was designed by David Rhind and carved by Alfred Gatley

'The Song of Moses and Miriam'

Two marble sculptures of Biblical scenes, carved in low relief, were fixed to the monument in 1867.  They are known as 'The Craigentinny Marbles'.
