Coastal Cultural Marathon

Thank you to Shaeron Averbuch, Artist, working at The Lighthouse, West Harbour Road, Granton, for allowing me to reproduce her entry (above) in the 'Cultural Olympiad 2010'  competition held in 2009.

This is a large exhibit that has been on display at The Lighthouse, West Harbour Road, Granton.  The yellow line on the exhibit represents a marathon length course, 26 miles 385 yards, along the southern shore of the Firth of Forth.

-  AT THE WESTERN END:  Blackness Castle Bay, West Lothian

-  THE CENTRE POINT:       Granton Lighthouse, North Edinburgh

Shaeron's aspiration is for cultural events for families and young people to be held at each of the places named along the Coastal Cultural Marathon route, at the time of the 2012 Olympic Games.
