This photograph was taken on Christmas Eve, 2010 from the Radical Road in Holyrood Park.

It looks down on Our Dynamic Earth, science centre (left) and The Scottish Parliament (right, and further back).

In the background are the former Royal High School in Regent Road and above it, the Nelson Monument and National Monument on Calton Hill.
