Forth Rail Bridge and Ferry

This photograph shows the ferry, Queen Margaret, approaching Hawes Pier in 1964, with the Forth Rail Bridge in the background.

Queen Margaret was built at Dumbarton in 1934, and continued to operate the Queensferry Passage until September 1964 when the Forth Road Bridge opened and the ferry stopped operating.

Queen Margaret was broken up in 1935
