Thank you to John Smith for allowing me to reproduce some old photos that his aunt had saved. Here is one of them - a view of Dundas Street, Bonnyrigg, the main road that leads to the SE from Bonnington Cross Roads towards the old mining town of Newtongrange.

This photo looks, to me, as if it was probably probably taken in the early 1900s. This photo was published as a postcard. However, I've not seen the original postcard, so I cannot say which photographer or company published it. The number on the front of this card suggests that there may be many cards in this series.
