Charles Gray's Photographic Institution was based at 19 Princes Street in 1844.
A couple of years earlier, this had been the home of Messrs Edwards' Daguerreotype studio, then Messrs Counsell & Miles' daguerreotype studio.
19 Princes Street was to become the studio of John Moffat in the late 1850s.
