Lectures
JF
Duthie
joined Edinburgh Photographic Society 1898. He
gave lectures to EPS entitled:
1904 "Yachting Photography"
1908
“High
Speed Photography”.
JF Duthie began his 1904 lecture to EPS with the words:
"Among the many sports with which photography is
combined there is none, I consider, which lends itself to the use of the
camera so much as yachting."
He ended his lecture with the words:
"In photographing yachts the operator must be able to
judge distance accurately, and be prompt in using his camera, as the
slightest hesitation usually means the loss of a good picture." |
