in Collections
Edinburgh
Public Library purchased David Doull's collection of 319 named negatives
in May 1970 from Frank Seymour, successor to
Drummond Shiels, photographer, 70-72
Lauriston Place.
These premises were demolished in the 1970s.
[DRTorrance]
Edinburgh Public Library arranged for David Doull's original glass
negatives from 1866-67 to be printed in 1988 by Joe Rock.
These were the subject of an exhibition at the library in 1891.

Cartes de Visite
Here is the
only carte de visite that I have seen from David Doull's studio - a
young man in rather baggy trousers.
The back of
the carte de visite has an unusual style of printing.
