Cameron Brothers

Old Zoological Gardens

The Cameron Brothers were based at Edinburgh & Leith Photographic Portrait Rooms, Old Zoological Gardens, entrance opposite Claremont Crescent.  Some sitters were photographed in front of rustic fence, sash windows and other settings.

The advert on the back of their cartes de visite included an illustration of an old camera mounted on a tripod with Edinburgh and Leith coats of arms on the camera.

Who were the Cameron Brothers?

What were the names of the Cameron Brothers?  Was either of the following lectures to EPS given by one of the Cameron Brothers?

- 1870: Mr Cameron

-  "A Method of keeping the silver bath at an even temperature"

- 1887: Henry Cameron

-  "Copying without Texture"
