Burlington Studios

 

22 Dalry Road

Studio

Burlington Studios were based at 22 Dalry Road from 1933 until 1954.  The photographer at Burlington Studio was A Mackay.

22 Dalry Road was The Haymarket Studio in 1904-05, and was the Port Arthur Studio [when?]. This address was a photographic studio and home to many photographers between 1894 and 1959.

I have several post-card size photograph from Burlington Studios:

-  one is a of a young baby, seated on a cushion beside a basket of flowers.

-  the other (below) is group portrait, complete with its Burlington folder.  Please click on the images below to enlarge them.

Question

Here are two other postcard-size portraits sent to me recently, with the question:  "When might the photographs have been taken?" 

My estimate is  "Perhaps around the mid-1930s."
