Edinburgh Photographic Society

William T Bashford was EPS Secretary from 1882 to 1885.  

He gave lectures to EPS over many years.  

These included:

- 1874:  An unsuspected cause of spots on Carte-de-visite and Cabinet photographs

- 1882:  A New Theory of the Sun

- 1891:  Allotropic Silver

- 1893:  Dalmeyer’s Tele-photographic Lens

He also presented Members' transparencies to EPS Popular Meetings in 1883, 1884, 1885, and further transparencies in 1865 when it was reported that:

"The very large audience paid marked attention throughout a séance of unusual length."
