Alexander Barbour

Alexander Barbour was born in Aberdeenshire in 1825 or 1826  [Census: 1861]

He has a studio at 47 Whitfield Place - or Whitefield Place in some directories - from1857 until 1864.

Then there was no further mention of him in the trade directories until he appeared again, for a single year at Great Junction Street, Leith, in 1878.
