American Photo Co

American Photo Company opened studios in Edinburgh in 1901, and Portobello in 1905.  They also opened studios in other cities in the North of England and Scotland, including:

-  Aberdeen

-  Gateshead  (1909)

-  Glasgow

-  London

-  Manchester (1897)

-  Middlesburgh

-  Newcastle

-  South Shields

-  Sunderland

ADDRESS:  The Edinburg address was very similar to that of The American Studios.  Were the two companies connected or the same?

The Portobello address was given in some directories as 26 Promenade, and as 26 Esplanade, Portobello
