SIMPSON & LOVI having returned from the Continent with a Select Stock of Apparatus, together with all the Chemicals for practising this beautiful art, now recommend the superior Lenses of VOIGTLANDERS, LEREBOURS and Lenses of their own make, to Artists, Sculptors, &c., by which means Groups of Figures from Life are reproduced instantly.

From the experience Messrs S. & L. have had in the sciences connected with Photography, they most respectfully solicit the patronage of professors as well as amateurs.

T & H Smith

Less than three months after Talbot announced his photogenic drawing, the chemists T & H Smith in Edinburgh were selling materials for the process.

It would be interesting to know how much material they sold and to whom, and what success the purchasers had with the process.
