DOH on GLA

Five score or so of years ago

Photography was new,

But D O Hill of Calton Hill

Had learned a thing or two.

The portraits by that clever chap

Put Edinburgh on the map.

And still to-day with G.L.A.

Our city wins acclaim;

The critics rate as simply great

The prints that bear her name.

For D.O.H’s mantle fell

On one who wears it just as well
