North Queensferry

North Queensferry lies in Fife, on the northern shores of the Firth of Forth, about ten miles inland from Edinburgh.

In this view from the 1950s, its small harbour can be seen close to the northern end of the Forth Rail Bridge.  The ferries across the Firth of Forth between North Queensferry and South Queensferry were still operating when this photo was taken, as the Forth Road Bridge was still to be built.  It opened in 1964.
