This is the only postcard that I have seen published by WJ Hay that is not described as "Knox series".  This one is "(W D Y and W)". 
Who were they?

Most photographs from the North British Hotel, looking to the west along Princes Street are taken from one of the rooms in the hotel.  This one is unusual, being taken from the clock tower  -  approximately the same height as the Scott Monument in the centre of the picture.
