Sir James
Marwick became the first President of EPS, holding the position from 20
February 1861 to 3 December 1867.
On his
appointment as President of EPS, Sir James Marwick was employed as Town Clerk of
Edinburgh. He later became Town Clerk of Glasgow and FRSE (Fellow of
the Royal Society of Edinburgh). |
