I believe this was probably a staged photograph, possibly taken by E O Catford.  Does anybody know when and where it was taken?

"The trams are at Leith Depot, Leith Walk."  [ Old Edinburgh, views from above by John A Jones.]

"Date wise,  I think, after 1922 and before 1930"  [Edinburgh Trams by Graham H. E. Twidale.]

Brian McTernan spent 23 years as a mechanic on the buses in Edinburgh before emigrating to Durban, South Africa, around 1989.
